Project Overview

Completed in February 2022, this 192-panel, roof-mounted, system was developed and installed at Coolings’ ‘Gardener’s Garden Centre’ site.

No stranger to solar – having installed 50kW at their ‘Lifestyle Centre’ in 2015 – Coolings were keen to decarbonise another one of their busy garden centres.

Covering just over 360m2, Cooling’s latest solar array will produce enough power to run 34 2-bedroom homes, and reduce their carbon emissions by over 14,000kgs per year, the same as a taking 1.8million car miles off the road.

Client’s Comments

‘’We have always been, and will continue to be, huge fans of solar power.

We use a fairly hefty amount of electricity so not only is it the right thing to do for the environment, it makes great business sense, too.

Solar will continue to feature in our businesses going forward – we’re keen to avoid having to buy power from the grid as much as possible; the sun is one of the only things a business can count on for the foreseeable future.

Whilst we have fitted solar in the past, this is the first time we have worked with BeBa Energy. The project was delivered with perfectly, and without disruption to the business ’’

BeBa comments
‘’Coolings were very clear on what they wanted to achieve from the get-go; given how close they work with the sun already, solar power was – and is – a natural progression for them.

I think it’s fair to say that the only thing they regret is that they didn’t have the space to do more!

We look forward to managing this system – and the Lifestyle array – for them long into the future.‘’
