Background

After exploring ways of making their business more sustainable, Biddenden Vineyards installed a 30kW solar PV array in 2015. The system was installed by a reputable installer and, for the first 3 years, worked exactly as it was supposed to.

Unfortunately, in 2018, the solar inverter developed a fault. Sadly, between having the system fitted, and the fault developing, the original installer had ceased trading. As a result, Biddenden Vineyards were left with a system that was no longer producing electricity, and no immediate support.

Biddenden’s reached out to BeBa who arranged for one of their technical team to attend site to assess the issue with the inverter. The inverter was deemed to be beyond economical repair but as the inverter was still in warranty – and the warranty sat with the manufacturer – BeBa were able to support Biddenden’s with a successful claim, and a new inverter was supplied free of charge.

Biddenden Vineyards system now sits within BeBa’s portfolio of over 500 managed arrays.

Client’s Comments

“We’re very pleased that we made the investment in renewable energy; our processes can be fairly energy intensive so being able to produce a portion of our own power – via sustainable means – is important to us.

As the solar system is designed to compliment our business – rather than divert our attention away from our main focus – we are very pleased to have the ongoing support of the team at BeBa Energy so that they are on hand to address any issues that present themselves.”
