Completed in November 2022, this 729-panel, roof-mounted, system was developed and installed at Bartholomews’ ‘Research & Technology Facility’ in West Sussex.
Keen to advance the Net Zero agenda, Bartholomews first engaged BeBa in late 2021 to understand what the optimum system might look like on their roof.
Covering just over 1,458m2, Bartholomews’ solar array will produce enough power to run 145 2-bedroom homes and reduce their carbon emissions by over 60,000kgs per year, the same as taking 6.6million car miles off the road.
Client’s Comments
‘’Adding solar panels to our facility was almost a foregone conclusion; we use significant amounts of electricity and our operation sits under a very large, south-facing, roof.
Not only will this investment help shield our business from fluctuating electricity costs, it will also help the environment – it really is win/win.
It’s been fascinating to watch exactly how much of the solar energy contributes to the running of the site; the BeSmarter system fitted by BeBa brings the array to life, rather than forgetting it’s up there, we’re able to track performance/contribution in real-time.
This is our first foray into the world of solar power and we are pleased we chose to partner with BeBa Energy. The project was developed expertly from start to finish, and the actual installation was seamless ’’

BeBa comments
‘’Whilst this was Bartholomews first experience of solar, they were very clear from day one on what they wanted to achieve.
They were very keen on ensuring the system complimented their impressive facility; they wanted it to feel like it was part of the initial build and so had some strong opinions on aesthetics.
Whilst the system is now live, we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership with the team at Bartholomews.‘’
