With over 50 years combined experience, our board of directors have been part of the UK’s solar industry since the early days of the Feed in Tariff.

Stephen Palmer

Managing Director

Over 28 years of board-level experience; Stephen launched BeBa Energy UK following 14 years as a Sales Director for a global lighting-manufacturer. Under his leadership, BeBa has grown steadily over the past 14 years

Darren Oliver

Technical Director

A chartered engineer with a strong technical and operational background, Darren designed and delivered the UK’s first solar farm. During his working career to-date, Darren has specialised in power and electrical systems, with a particular focus on Solar PV.

William Palmer

Commercial Manager

With a degree in Real Estate Management, Will joined BeBa in 2022 having qualified as a chartered commercial surveyor in London. His role as Key Account Manager is to ensure that all of BeBa’s valued O&M and key EPC clients receive an unrivalled level of service, whilst also bringing to their attention projects and initiatives that may further enhance their operations.

Julia Andrews

General Manager

At BeBa since the very beginning, Julia has vast experience of all elements of the business. Today Julia’s primary role is general management of the business including office functions and HR.

With over 8 years experience in accounts, Beki oversees BeBa’s accounting functions.

Melanie Brookes

Office Assistant

Melanie has had a rich and varied career with time spent at local government, a private dental practise in London as well as experience within property services. Her role at BeBa is to support all of the administration functions at BeBa’s HQ in Hemel Hempstead

Neil Hanratty

Engineering Manager

With BeBa since 2018, Neil graduated from the University of Ulster with a degree in Energy and Building Services Engineering. Neil’s role as Project Engineer sees him taking projects from design and survey through to commissioning and management.

George Parsons

Renewables Engineer

Graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering and with four years of experience in the renewable energy industry, George joined the BeBa Energy design team in 2023. Helping with project design from the initial survey to final commissioning, as well as monitoring and maintenance of the existing BeBa sites

Robert 'Bob' Stone

Renewables Engineer

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newcastle University, and a background rooted in the agricultural industry, Bob’s role as Graduate Renewable Engineer sees him develop designs for new solar PV systems, as well as monitoring our existing sites.

Robert Welch

Operations Manager

With a pedigree in commercial and industrial solar, Rob has overseen solar construction projects from Penzance to Aberdeen. His primary role at BeBa is the management of all new installations in order to ensure BeBa’s reputation for quality, safety and scheduling is upheld.

Megan Fulham

Assistant Project
Manager

With just over five years’ experience, Megan has taken a key role the management of large-scale, multi-site, Solar PV installations across various sectors. Re-joining BeBa in 2023, Megan assists the Technical Director with leading the installation department in the delivery of new solar PV systems.

Robert Milsom

Site Manager

Rob joined BeBa in 2022 having overseen the delivery and installation of more than 70MW of solar in the UK – including the UK’s largest solar installation at at airport. Working closely with BeBa’s Technical Director, Rob’s role will see him split his time between the delivering of new project’s and overseeing our service work.

Kevin Gordon

Having worked in the solar industry for nearly 11 years, Kevin predominantly works along side Steve in solar panel cleaning operations. In addition to this Kevin supports the operations team to deliver our most prestigious installations

Phil Gooby

O&M Manager

Phil has been in the electrical contracting industry for the last 16 years dealing with high-end residential installations and energy saving solutions. Now a chartered construction manager, he heads up our Asset Management team and deals with all forms of repair, monitoring and maintenance

Carley Manning

O&M/Renewables Co-Ordinator

Carley has worked in property services for over 10 years, identifying, scheduling, and managing projects for local councils. With BeBa since March 2021, Carley’s primary role is supporting the operations team as they work to get the very best out of our portfolio of over 500 managed systems

Pawel Kaczalek

Joe Kenton

O&M technical support

Joe’s role at BeBa sees him assume overall responsibility for our remote monitoring platforms to ensure faults and issues are identify quickly as well as providing monthly reports to asset owners. He holds a Geography BSC from University of Hertfordshire with a focus in spatial data and has experience working in asset management

Panel Cleaning Manager

Following a military career spanning nearly 40 years, Steve’s primary role is overseeing BeBa’s panel cleaning operations. Steve’s other roles include overseeing site safety on our larger installations and providing support with our powered access equipment during technical surveys.
